A Pit Bull is a medium-sized, solidly built, short haired dog characterized with a large, broad head. Known for their intelligence and loyalty, a Pit Bull makes for an excellent choice for a loving and protective companion.

Widely reported Pit Bull attacks have prompted many cities to issue restrictions preventing residents from keeping the Pit Bull as a pet. The latest news is that a woman was mauled to death by four pit bulls in the town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico on April 24, 2011.
