Pagină de pornire > Blossary: French origin terms in English
Some sources state that around 30% of the English vocabulary is made of French origin terms. In many cases, the root is obvious, but in some other, is quite "hidden" because of the fact that French, otherwise a Romance language in 60% of its entries, includes also words of Germanic and Gaulish origin. The purpose of this glossary is to enlist these terms and define them.
